Color Guard

Welcome back! Show your Lawrence High School spirit by joining Color Guard We will meet every Monday starting today in room 222. The pep rally is scheduled for Friday October 17th period 8 and Homecoming will be Saturday October 18th. Join the fun and make this year great by joining color guard.

Girls Tennis

Congratulations to the girls tennis season on yesterday's win against Hempstead. Tea Michel took first singles 6-0,6-1 Sury Velazquez 2nd singles 6-1, 6-0 IN their first varsity match, Claudia Romero and Alisson Cortez, demonstrated commendable play,winning 1st doubles in straight sets 6-4, 6-2, and Rebecca Monroy and Kiara Sanchez sealed the deal with a come from behind win to take 2nd singles 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Wishing the team continued success this season!

Girls Soccer

Are you interested in playing girls soccer this year? We’re looking for athletes of all grades and experience levels to join our program. If you enjoy being part of a team, staying active, making friends and competing, this is your chance to get involved! No prior experience is necessary—just bring your energy, commitment, and willingness to learn. If you have any questions, please see Coach Saraceni in room 211 or coach Spinelli in the gym. Otherwise, we hope to see you after school on the turf field and can’t wait to welcome new

players to the girls’ soccer family!

Multi-Cultural Club

The Multi-Cultural Club will be starting off strong this year. Join the fun by coming to room 222 every Wednesday starting tomorrow.

Guidance News

The library will be open every day before and after school. All seniors are welcome stop by for help with college applications or to have any questions answered about the process at that time.

Wednesday, September 10th is the last day to make any changes to your schedule. There will be no further changes after Wednesday.

The ARC is now open Monday through Friday before school starting at 7 AM and after school starting at 2:40 PM. If you are assigned to an ARC, please report to the library either before or after school.

Culinary Club

Good morning, Chefs! The culinary club will be having our first meeting tomorrow, September 10th, in Mr. Ravo’s room, room 340, at 2:45 pm. We will be touching base and hosting elections. We can’t wait to see you there.

Boys Volleyball

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Volleyball ream on their 3-1 win over New Hyde Park. Mailo Rosas had 43 assists in the win. Corey Shakur had 16 kills, Jacob Hooks had 12 kills and Elijah Tolley added 10 kills. Fernando Larios had 15 digs and Sehil Dihoundiyal had 14 digs. The next home game is Wednesday September 10 at 5:00.

Math Club

Are you interested in mathematics? Do you want to participate in the American Mathematics Competition? Join Math Club! Math Club will run on Tuesdays after school in

room 247. Students in all grades are welcome, and upperclassmen are especially encouraged to attend. Start building your college resume this afternoon at Math Club. If you have any questions, visit Ms. Mazzarino in room 247 today after school.

Math Mentors

Are you an upperclassman? Are you interested in finding a way to fulfill your community service hours for this school year? Are you interested in potentially earning extra credit in your math class? Come to Math Mentors on Wednesday in the Library! Math Mentors welcomes students from all courses and grades as mentors and and students. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Mazzarino in room 247 or come to Math Mentors in the Library on Wednesday after school.

DECA

DECA, the high school business club, is ready to begin another great year. Please come to our first meeting on Monday, 9/15 @ 7:30am in room 216. Girls Basketball

Good morning Lawrence High School!!! It is I, the Shadow again...here to tell you about the best sport my friends...the winter time is coming soon enough...if you get in shape now it won't be that tough...if you join the basketball team... you will be part of the right stuff...we are rebuilding this team and are getting ready to go...basketball is the best sport...just so you know...you play it inside and don't have to mess with the snow...talking about basketball is getting me into the flow...when you decide to play you will be in the know...it is time to bring back Lawrence Basketball back to the top of the heap...If you join this year it won't be that tough of a leap...We don't care if you're tall or small...but this upcoming season you should play basketball!!! And that is how the story goes...always remember that the Shadow always knows...

SGA

Another last minute reminder for 9th graders interested in running for office to lead the Freshman class. Please get your posters in to Mr. Ziff or your SGA Officers. Have to be in it to win it!!
