Word of the Day
Capacity: The maximum amount or number that something can hold or produce. The hall has a seating capacity of 500 people.

Whereas: A conjunction used to introduce a contrast between two statements. He prefers quiet evenings at home, whereas his sister enjoys going out late.

MW: Applicable: Relevant or appropriate.

The teacher reminded the class that the extension on the project was only applicable to students with a doctor’s note.

Key Club

Good morning, Lawrence. Student Government and the Key Club Toy Drive has begun! We will be collecting unwrapped, new toys for the Lawrence community this holiday season. There will be a collection box in the main lobby. If you have any questions please see Mr. Ravo, Mr Ziff or Ms. Eisner. Help bring cheer to those in need!

Sophomore Class

The 10th-grade class is excited to announce that we’ll be selling candy grams for just $1 all week! This is a fun way to share a sweet message with a friend, teacher, or anyone who deserves a little holiday cheer. Be sure to use the Google Form to place your order and include your note. We’ll be delivering all candy grams right before Christmas break, so everyone can head into the holidays with a smile! Let’s help spread some joy throughout our school community!

Music Department

Time to spread a little joy and seasonal happiness. This week the Band, Chorus, Honor String Ensemble, Dance Honor Society and Music and Dance faculty will be performing Hall a Day classics in the main lobby today and tomorrow, Thursday, December 18th. We will be in the main lobby performing before school starts. We hope that you will share in this fun, annual event with us. Our students have been working very hard to perform for you. Please stop by and join in on the FUN!

African American Club

Happy Holidays! The African American club will be selling chocolate covered pretzels and sweet treats during all lunch periods in the main lobby. Stay tuned for our candy cane raffle. Guess how many candy canes are in the jar and sit tight to win an exciting prize. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be rewarded. We have many sweet treats and fun prizes for you all! Can't wait! See you soon.

TRI-M

Hey Lawrence HS!! Make your holidays a little sweeter with Tri-M’s Donut and Munchkin sale!! This Thursday and Friday we will be selling Donuts for $2 and Munchkins, $1 for 2. Don’t miss out and get into the holiday spirit! Happy Holidays!!!

Junior Class

"On Thursday December 18th the Class of 2027 will be hosting Sleigh the Stage, a winter talent show in the LHS auditorium from 5 pm to 7 pm. All students are invited to come support their classmates and enjoy a night of performances".

ELA Regents Review

Attention all 11th grade students and any student retaking the ELA regents in January. Starting December 16th, there will be review sessions from 2:45-4:45 in Room 101. Please see the schedule of regents review sessions posted outside of the English and Social Studies classrooms.

Hebrew Culture Club

Tomorrow, December 18th come to art room 132 after school for the Hebrew Culture Club meeting. We will be celebrating and learning about the holiday of Chanukah!

Junior Class

Attention Talent Show Performers. There will be a mandatory Rehearsal this afternoon and tomorrow in the Auditorium beginning at 3:00.

Hello Lawrence. Sleigh the Stage Winter Talent Show will take place Tomorrow evening at 5:00. Come watch your fellow students Rock the Stage with Music, dance, poetry and more. There will be Hot Chocolate and snacks.

Senior Class

The Seniors will be selling drinks this Friday December 19 during the lunch periods. We will have a hot chocolate bar for $5 and be selling Santa's Soda for $3. Come and enjoy these festive drinks.

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society will meet today after school in room 121.
