The halls of the Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM) are glowing a little brighter this month, thanks to a special guest installation featuring the original works of our very own talented students. The exhibition showcases a diverse collection of pieces created by our students at Lawrence Primary School.
For the students involved, the transition from the school art room to a museum gallery is more than just a field trip—it is a profound moment of achievement. Ms. Young shared, "Through bright colors, playful shapes and bold marks, the artwork shows student's personal response to the stories we shared."
For many of these children, this is their first experience with public recognition. By celebrating their work in a venue as prestigious as the LICM, we are fostering a lifelong love for the arts and building the confidence they will carry into Grade 4 and beyond. Thank you to Ms. Young for her hard work and dedication to prioritizing the arts as a core pillar of our school.
