Today we remember and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the legacy he left.
Today we celebrated Multicultural Day! Children wore traditional clothing that represented their own cultures or the countries of their ancestors. They also brought in special items to share in our Cultural Mosaic Museum. Through these experiences, we learned about different traditions, values, and customs, and celebrated the diversity that makes our community so special.
Ending our week of Holiday Spirit by wearing red and white. Wishing all of our Pre-K families a joyous holiday season with family and friends! School will resume on January 5th,2026.
Our Pre-K Winter Sing Performance was filled with smiles, music, and holiday cheer! After the children shared their winter songs, families were invited back to the classroom to enjoy special winter-themed crafts together. Students and families had fun decorating cookies, creating snowmen with play dough, and designing frosted cone trees. It was a wonderful time of creativity, connection, and celebrating the season together! ❄️🎶

Pre-K is having so much fun in our gingerbread themed centers, building, creating, and learning together. They are also exploring light by casting shadows outside.

Turkey Trot fun!
It was so wonderful celebrating our families today! Thank you for joining us at our Turkey Trot and sharing in the joy of watching your child parade and dance to our turkey songs. We are grateful for your support and wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
November 26th is our Pre-K Turkey Trot and Family Celebration! After our parade families are invited back to the classrooms for a celebration.
Pre-K had a great time at the fall festival. We picked our own pumpkins, went food shopping at the farmers market, explored gourds and the inside of a pumpkin. We played in the spider web maze and obstacle, used leaves to create"leaf people", explored the fall sensory bins and hammered pegs into pumpkins. We had a great day!

Today we received a special visit from the Inwood Fire Department. We learned about the special clothes and tools firefighters use. We saw fire trucks, ambulances and also an aerial ladder. We made projects on what we learned about firefighters and fire safety.

Today we participated in Patriots Day. We remember and honor the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. We also honor the brave community helpers who kept us safe. We learned about kindness, courage and how to be a helpful friend.
What a wonderful first day of school! Our Pre-K children are ready for a year full of learning and laughter.
