Today we welcomed our families into our classrooms to participate in some Earth Day and recycling activities. We ended our Week of the Young Child celebration with Family Friday!

Yesterday we celebrated Artsy Thursday in our classrooms for Week of the Young Child. Children develop creativity, social skills, and fine muscles with open-ended art projects that let them make choices, use their imaginations, and create with their hands.
Today for "Work Together Wednesday", we worked together with other classes and participated in parachute fun and games!
As Week of the Young Child continues we celebrate Tasty Tuesday. Children used healthy fruits and vegetables to create a friendly face!

As we return from a wonderful spring break, we celebrate our youngest learners for Week of the Young Child! Today is Music Monday and some Lawrence Middle School singers came and performed. In our classrooms we created our own musical instruments! 🎶 Happy Music Monday!

This week we celebrated Read Across America/Author Spotlight Spirit Week. Each day we learned about a new author and listened to a story that they wrote. We coordinated our outfits each day to represent each story and participated in different activities and projects. Ask your child which story and activities were their favorite!
March 2nd, 2023 is Read Across America Day! Today each class chose a Dr. Seuss story to read to their class and children dressed in stripes, red and white, silly hat or mismatched socks to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss!
In honor of Black History Month, our Pre-K children are learning about important historical figures and their contributions to society. We focused on Garrett Morgan, Ruby Bridges and Jackie Robinson. Our students have learned about the accomplishments of so many African-Americans. They participated in crafts and shared writing activities after hearing about their legacies.
School will be closed for Winter Break on Monday, February 20th until Friday, February 24th. School will resume on Monday, February 27th where we will celebrate Read Across America/Author Spotlight Spirit Week!
